James D. Turner

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Don Turner, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1971.  Don received his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1974.  Mr. Turner was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1974 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and the Northern District, Southern District and Middle District of Alabama.

Since 1974, Don has been a member of the Alabama State Bar and Tuscaloosa County Bar Association.  He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama, where he has taught for over 25 years.  He currently teaches property law and healthcare law.

Mr. Turner’s areas of practice include litigation, personal injury, commercial and contract law, property law, divorce and family law, employment law, criminal law and will drafting and estate planning.

Don has two children, Brian and Lindsay, and one granddaughter, Farris.  His  interests include reading, golf, and travel.
